dbramante1928 believes in real climate action requires transparent, science-based plans. They have set ambitious targets through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

SBTi is a non-profit by CDP, WRI, WWF, and UNGC. More companies now use it as the leading global standard. It helps set science-based goals and validates climate plans.

dbramante1928´s journey began in 2021 with a target to cut scope 1 and 2 emissions by 30% by 2030, based on 2018. This was later raised to 50%.

The UN’s IPCC says all companies must reach net-zero by 2050. dbramante1928 is on board with approved targets, joining SBTi’s ’Corporate Net-Zero Standard,’ the only science-based framework for net-zero.

PEF is the only EU-backed method for measuring a product’s environmental footprint across its entire lifecycle – from raw material extraction to disposal. Unlike traditional Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), PEF-based LCAs adopts a stricter and standardised approach, reducing individual interpretations or personal evaluations regarding what should be included in a life cycle assessment. This methodology ensures greater consistency, accuracy, and comparability in sustainability data.

To achieve this, they:

1. Promote sustainable choices by designing products that are made from recycled and recyclable materials or upcycled materials that would otherwise go to waste.

2. Strive for 100% renewable energy, phase out fossil fuels, improve energy efficiency in the supply chain, and help customers do the same through their products and services.

3. Collaborate with WWF Denmark on a biodiversity programme to conserve and rebuild rainforest in Rwenzori Mountains National Park, Uganda. WWF Denmark also ensures dbramante1928´s sustainability efforts align with the latest climate science.

As a Danish company with its leather factory in Kolkata, India, dbramante1928 believe it is essential to give back to the community they work in.

In line with WWF’s “No Plastic in Nature” initiative, dbramante1928 reduce plastic pollution by replacing single-use plastics with products made from recovered and recycled materials.

Their TPU cases, silicone cases, PET bags, chargers, cables and other plastic-based products are made with recycled and recyclable materials – without compromising quality, functionality or design.

dbramante1928´s leather products are handcrafted from the finest and strongest type of leather, fullgrain leather. Due to the material’s durability, full-grain leather prolongs the product life cycle. As full-grain leather develops a beautiful patina with time, it also ensures that their products look great for ages. All of the hides they use as raw materials are by-products from the meat and dairy industry that would otherwise go to waste.






 







 
All dbramante1928´s packaging is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved, which confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.

FSC-certified forests are managed to strict environmental, social, and economic standards.
